EMI - CNC Machines
Each mathematically generated cope uses specific diameters, angles, and wall thicknesses ensuring precise consistent fits for every combination. The open-face joint preparation will reduce weld-time, increase weld-consistency, and improve weld-appearance. Further, warping and pulling will decrease because welders will no longer be filling over gaps. The ±0.005" torch positioning gives tremendous repeatability of fit and weld preparation yielding a consistent stiffness matrix in duplicate chassis and space-frames. Precise consistent parts reduce jig time during assembly and increase production capacity while saving labor.
Operation of the tube-processing center is easy and requires minimal training when compared to other common CNC tools. With EMI's on-site training, your motivated employees will be running the machine within hours. Our machine uses a PC-based control card that handles both motion and operating logic in the network-ready Windows-98 environment.
The programming interface is also Windows-98 based, allowing anyone who can read a blue print or measure a jig to program parts. Previous CAD or CAM experience is not required. This unique CAM package allows shop personnel to use the machine quickly as a tool for one-of-a-kind and short run applications. Major runs can be set up and controlled by production management on their office PCs. The machine's database will enable managers to develop production and stock analysis. Electro-Mechanical Integrators, Inc. controls the CAM package allowing us to meet new demands with seamless updates. Optional specialized training for G-Code level programming increases production innovation and flexibility.
Double coped pieces of 0.875" x 0.058" cycle at an average of 6 seconds and 1 5/8" x 0.134" at an average 10 second cycle. With one operator, and less floor space than any previous process, our machine can take a bundle of tubing and produce 200 ready-to-weld pieces an hour. Add about 2 seconds for each hole or slot and you will soon see that compared to any other method, the production rate of EMI's tube processing center is astounding.
